ARJUNA is a close relative of the three herbs of the Triphala formula (Haritaki, Amalaki and bibhitaki) and has a similar importance in Ayurvedic medicine as a tonic and rejuvenative agent. Its action is specific for the heart, and is useful in all types of heart diseases, promoting right heart function and aiding in longevity. Arjuna helps recovery after heart attacks, as well as helps in their prevention. It promotes healing of the soft tissue and of internal organs, and is specific for treating broken bones. It is good blood thinner, while maintaining normal coagulation.
